Is it only companies who can enter a project, or can individuals do so as well?
Companies and organizations with their own legal form are admitted as contestants in the main categories. In the special IoT Young Leader and Social Impact categories, individuals or projects that were not started by an existing company or organization (e.g. non-profit project, open source project) can also participate.
Details can be found in the entry conditions.
What kind of projects can participate?
New IoT products, IoT business models and ecosystem concepts as well as IoT solutions for internal corporate use are permitted. Details can be found in the entry conditions.
In which categories can I submit my project?
A total of eight categories are available for selection. Seven of them for projects: Retail & Customer Experience, Mobility & Logistics, Building Automation, Smart Farming & Agriculture, Industrial IoT & Smart Factory, IoT Analytics & AI and Social Impact.
The IoT Young Leader is an exception. This category honors an individual, and not a project.
At what stage must my project be?
The project does not necessarily have to be already implemented. Concepts will also be accepted if they are presented coherently in the application and the digital value is clearly defined.
Can I submit my project in multiple categories?
No, a project can only be submitted in one category.
I have a question about category selection. Who can help?
If you are not sure where your project fits, please contact our project team at email@example.com
Can I enter more than one project?
Yes and no. You can only enter one project. But you can also submit an entry in the IoT Young Leader category.
How can I apply?
To apply, simply request the entry form via email. Then upload the completed form again. You can also attach additional files, such as presentations and images, and links to videos.
Is participation free of charge?
Yes, participation in the OSRAM IoT Awards is free of charge.
Who evaluates the entries?
The entries will be evaluated by an independent jury of IoT and digital experts.
Which criteria are used to evaluate entries?
The jury evaluates all entries according to the following criteria:
1. Creativity & Ideation
2. Digital Value Creation & Experience
3. Technology & Data Insights
4. Leadership & Ecosystem
When will the finalists be announced?
The jury will select the three finalists per category. They will be informed of this by the end of August.
Who attends the awards ceremony?
The three finalists in each category will receive an invitation to the award ceremony and the IoT Campfire.
